Misty grew up in Early, TX, where she still resides. She began her healthcare career in 2001 as a retail pharmacy clerk. After several years as a pharmacy technician, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Texas A&M Commerce. Subsequently, she managed several community pharmacies, primarily in central Texas.
In 2020, Misty joined the CCMC pharmacy team as a project coordinator. By 2022, she advanced to the role of Project Manager/Systems Engineer, with ambitious plans to build Legacy Estate Long Term Care on the CCMC campus. Misty continues to collaborate closely with the Director of Pharmacy, Sharon Maxwell, on pharmacy operations, including advocating for 340B policy with federal lawmakers in Washington, DC.
As of 2024, Misty is pursuing an MBA in healthcare. Outside of work, she enjoys life as an empty nester with her husband of over 20 years and visiting her children in the Austin area.
