Giving

At Comanche County Medical Center, we value the relationships built over the years between our patients and their care teams, and we cherish the many personal connections which have grown into charitable support for our healthcare mission and programs. If you want to make a gift in gratitude for the care you or a loved one received, or to a department or special initiative, we welcome your support.

Comanche County Medical Center (CCMC) is an established nonprofit healthcare organization serving as Administrator for the Comanche County Consolidated Hospital District (CCCHD), which operates in accordance with Section 9, Article IX, of the Texas Constitution as a special purpose district (hospital). Comanche County Medical Center (CCMC) is a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts to CCMC are tax-deductible.

WAYS TO GIVE

Gifts to Comanche County Medical Center may be made in the form of cash, real estate, stock, beneficiary designation, or charitable trust. Contact CCMC Development to discuss your wishes.

Legacy Campaign

The Legacy Campaign, in its second year, raises funds to support the new Comanche County long-term care center, named “Legacy Estate Long Term Care.” The purpose-built, 75-unit nursing home with many beautiful amenities is the pride of our rural area. Special donor naming opportunities are available, and support for furniture, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E) is needed.

Annual Giving

Comanche County Healthcare Foundation (CCHF), an all-volunteer, nonprofit supporting organization benefits Comanche County Medical Center and Comanche County Consolidated Hospital District. The Foundation organizes a long-running annual dinner and fundraising auction each September as well as a BBQ fundraiser in the spring, and appeals to the community for support. Cash donations are tax-deductible and welcome throughout the year, and support patient care initiatives of the health system. For more information or to give through the Foundation visit https://www.comanchechf.org/

Stock Donation

When you donate stock to a public charity, such as Comanche County Medical Center, you generally receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value (FMV). Giving stock instead of cash as a charitable donation can benefit you and our rural health system. The CCMC Chief Financial Officer oversees a restricted stock account for the health system, which can receive donor stock transfers.

Life Estate Gift

If you want a piece of property you own to benefit the hospital, you can donate the property through a life estate and still use the property during your lifetime. Making a life estate gift means you receive an immediate charitable income tax deduction, and reduce estate taxes, as applicable. Through legal agreement, you can transfer title to your farm or other real estate to our nonprofit organization. Contact your tax advisor or attorney regarding life estate giving agreements.
