Dr. Larry Troxell

Chief Executive Officer, Comanche County Medical Center and CCMC Health System

Dr. Larry G. Troxell has been a transformative leader in the healthcare industry since 1978, beginning his career at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Over his twenty-three-year tenure at SJMC, he held various positions, including Director of Transport Systems and Telecommunications.

Following his time at SJMC, Dr. Troxell served as COO and CEO in several rural hospitals, focusing on revitalizing facilities in danger of closing. His efforts have been instrumental in developing regional healthcare systems through collaboration with rural communities and healthcare stakeholders.

Dr. Troxell holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University, and a Doctor of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston. In addition to his professional roles, he served as an Adjunct Professor at Oklahoma City University in the 1990s, where he taught courses in Finance, Statistical Methods in Quality Control, and Business Management and Leadership.

Currently, Dr. Troxell is the Chief Executive Officer of Comanche County Medical Center, the CCMC Health System, and the Texas Outpatient & Infusion Centers. He is passionately committed to enhancing healthcare in the rural sector, reducing disease prevalence, improving population health, and extending quality life years for patients.

Dr. Troxell is also a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a Non-Commissioned Officer with the 101st Airborne Division. His military service has further honed his leadership skills and dedication to excellence in all his endeavors.
