April grew up in Stephenville, TX, and has resided in Comanche, TX, since meeting her husband Cory in 2000. She began her healthcare career in 2001 as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. After several years in this role, she attended Ranger Junior College and received her licensure to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 2003. With thirteen years of experience as an LVN, she furthered her education at Texas State Technical College in 2016, earning her Associate Degree in Nursing.
April joined CCMC in 2001, and over the past 23 years, she has worked in various departments, including the Medical/Surgical Unit, Home Health, and Surgery. She also gained valuable experience at Brownwood Regional Medical Center, working in the Telemetry and Intensive Care Units as a Registered Nurse. In 2020, she became the Nurse Manager for the Medical/Surgical Unit at CCMC.
Currently, April enjoys life with her husband Cory and their two children. Madelyn, a Junior at Tarleton State University, and Cooper, a Junior at Comanche High School, keep her busy. In her free time, she loves reading, watching her son play baseball and football, and spending time with her family.
