Telehealth

At Comanche County Medical Center, we understand that access to quality healthcare is essential, especially when facing time constraints, distance, or unforeseen circumstances. Our Telehealth Services bring healthcare directly to you, wherever you are, helping ensure you receive the care you need and reducing many in-person visits.

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth, also known as telemedicine or virtual care, is the use of digital communication technologies to connect patients with healthcare providers remotely. It allows for real-time consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care, all from the comfort and convenience of your home or location of choice.

Convenience:

Telehealth reduces travel and waiting time, making healthcare more accessible and convenient for you. It’s a good option for routine check-ups, follow-up appointments, and many non-emergency medical concerns.

Specialized Care:

CCMC offers several medical specialties using telehealth, allowing you to access expert care for various health conditions without leaving your home, school, or place of business.

Prescription Refills:

Our telehealth services include prescription refills. Many prescriptions can be filled quickly and delivered to you.

Mental Health Care:

We provide confidential telehealth sessions with a mental health provider who conducts virtual counseling by appointment.

How Telehealth Works

Schedule Your Appointment:

Call one of our primary care clinics to establish service and request to schedule a telehealth appointment. Usually, an initial in-person appointment is required.

Confirm Appointment & Register Online:

Once an appointment is booked, you will receive a secure link from us on your mobile device. This includes a reminder text and a link to pre-register for your appointment.

Consultation:

Use the secure link text we sent to connect with your healthcare provider via video call or phone, depending on the method you requested when you registered. Your healthcare provider will discuss your symptoms, concerns, and medical history, just as they would in an in-person visit.

Diagnosis and Treatment:

Based on the virtual consultation, your provider will assess your condition and recommend treatment. During the consult, your provider may also write prescriptions, provide referrals, or recommend further tests if needed.

Follow-Up:

If necessary, follow-up appointments can be scheduled, ensuring continuity of care. These appointments may be in-person or virtual.
