To Help Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 Call Ahead
(3-12-20) Comanche County Medical Center (CCMC) has implemented a screening process for people experiencing respiratory and/or flu symptoms to help them get the care they need and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, to people in the community.
Anyone experiencing respiratory and/or flu symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, or if they feel they have been exposed to COVID-19 and intend to seek medical care at the CCMC hospital or clinic, must call before entering the building. The Doctors Medical Center clinic telephone number is 254-879- 4910, the CCMC hospital main number is 254-879-4900. A new COVID-19 hotline number at the hospital will be available and announced in the next few days. Each patient will be asked travel, exposure and symptom questions in order to determine the next steps for care.
CCMC is planning for options for care, including home care and drive-up testing to help reduce the impact of the coronavirus on the community. Calling ahead and notifying medical staff of recent travel and symptoms will help CCMC better accommodate patient care needs.
Anyone experiencing a medical emergency should dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. The CCMC emergency department is screening patients presenting with respiratory and/or flu symptoms for COVID-19 exposure.
