Position Purpose: Transport residents to/from medical facilities and/or other activities as needed in a safe manner.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Record information and perform technical procedures.
- Ability to perform work tasks within physical demand requirements.
- Genuine care for an interest in elderly and handicapped people.
- Accountable for Residents Care while away from the facility.
- Monitor Resident’s vital signs as needed during transport.
- Assist during downtime at the nursing home with nursing assistant or other duties assigned.
- Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.
- Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Ability to lift, bend, and twist repetitively with minor assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a certified nursing assistant or awaiting testing.
- Hold a current Texas certification
- Hold a current state driver’s license in good standing and have current auto insurance
- Must have an acceptable driving record verified by the DMV
- Must qualify for company insurance, pass DMV check and practice safe defensive driving skills
- AED Training
