The Whitestone is looking for a dependable and caring Dietary Aide/Cook to join our team. This position plays an important role in making our residents feel at home by preparing and serving quality meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen and dining environment.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare, season, and cook meals for our residents
- Follow menus, recipes, portion guidelines, and meal schedules
- Prepare meals according to residents’ dietary and therapeutic diet needs
- Assist with serving meals and delivering meal trays as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and appropriately
- Wash dishes and maintain kitchen equipment
- Keep the kitchen, dining room, storage, and dishwashing areas clean and sanitary
- Assist with sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and general kitchen cleanup
- Help maintain food and supply inventory
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control practices
- Provide friendly and courteous service to residents
- Assist with special meals, meetings, and community functions as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food service, cooking, or dietary experience preferred
- Experience in assisted living, long-term care, healthcare, or commercial food service is a plus
- Dependable and able to work as part of a team
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with kitchen work
- A positive attitude and genuine desire to provide excellent service to our residents
