Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant – Med/Surg

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Med/Surg

Comanche County Medical Center is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients in our Medical/Surgical department. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA assists patients in improving their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life through therapeutic interventions and treatment plans.

Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, assisting with assessments and screenings, documenting treatment progress, educating patients and caregivers, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications:

Current Texas COTA license
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current CPR certification
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Previous clinical experience preferred
Ability to work effectively with patients across a variety of medical conditions
