Rachel Thompson has been passionate about healthcare since accepting an internship in radiology during high school. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from McMurry University in Abilene, TX. With a wealth of experience across various areas of healthcare, Rachel has worked in roles such as risk management, front office administration, coding/billing, office management, medical assistance, and marketing. Her diverse background spans multiple fields, including administration, legal, dermatology, neurology, internal medicine, family practice, endocrinology, surgery assisting, marketing for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and long-term care (LTC), home health marketing, and leadership training.
Rachel’s professional interests include marketing, building relationships, and addressing the growing needs of the local community. She is dedicated to employee and community involvement and engagement. Since November 2023, Rachel has been an integral part of the CCMC team, focusing on improving healthcare access for rural communities, leadership and team development, community growth, physician recruitment, and enhancing experiences for employees, patients, and providers.
Rachel has lived in Comanche, TX, since 2021 with her husband Brad, their two sons Alex and Aiden, and their two dogs, Mollie (a rescue) and Groot (an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix). She is committed to bringing healthcare home and ensuring better access to healthcare for rural communities.
